For our Online UCAS Summer School, each attendee creates their own schedule. Running from July, this course is entirely one-to-one, aimed at helping applicants for top UK universities based anywhere in the world to learn about their chosen discipline at undergraduate level, and ensure they are submitting a personal statement at the highest possible quality.
The Online Summer School is appropriate for applicants for any courses at any UK universities, and includes:
A Private Consultation with Oxbridge Applications
A Private Consultation with a Senior Consultant at Oxbridge Applications. We specialise in Oxbridge but frequently discuss a range of other universities and have experience across all academic disciplines (most of us have further degrees from other universities). This includes a detailed look at the candidate, an assessment of abilities and interests, and guidance on course suitability and competitiveness. The aim for this session is to help consolidate applicant’s five UK university choices.
Four hours of one-to-one mentoring
Four hours of one-to-one mentoring with a subject-specific specialist. Our Programmes Team hand-select these mentors to match the individual student’s ambitions and interests. These sessions are designed to help applicants explore their chosen discipline(s) at undergraduate level, and help them develop the knowledge and critical perspectives sought in personal statements by admissions tutors.
A one-hour personal statement review session
A one-hour personal statement review session led by an in-house application consultant, including detailed suggested edits, with the aim to produce a strong, submittable statement which ‘works’ for all five university choices. Our application consultants work across the leading schools in the UK and collectively review thousands of personal statements each year for Oxbridge and other UK universities.
