LNAT Course Structure

As an introduction to the day, you will learn how your test is used in the admissions process, what the examiners are looking for and what skills you need to demonstrate in order to achieve the maximum marks. The LNAT is a crucial exam for law at Oxford, as well as at other top UK universities. Examiners are looking for quick, logical thinking and the ability to analyse and construct arguments. Your LNAT consultant will explain the skills each section of the LNAT is testing and how you can practise and demonstrate these skills in your answers.

Included in the cost of the day are all four of our unique mock LNAT papers, written by our test experts. Two will be marked and returned to you.

You will analyse sample LNAT questions and answers to identify successful ways of approaching questions, as well as evaluating how to gain maximum marks. As the LNAT consists of two sections, you will revise the skills required in each section in order to learn how best to tackle different questions, construct arguments and maximise your score.

You are given advice on choosing your essay question, building convincing arguments and using examples, as well as planning your time successfully.

The time limit makes the LNAT a demanding test. We will help you to develop your own test strategy; a plan as to how you can structure your time in order to gain maximum marks and develop a clear understanding of which areas you should focus on in your preparation.

You LNAT consultant will help you improve your multiple choice question ability, and teach you how to choose the right question in the essay section, plan your essay, propose a strong argument and communicate this convincingly.

As the LNAT requires you to rapidly assess information in the multiple choice section then produce an outstanding essay, practice is integral to success.

With this in mind, you will be sent an exclusively written mock LNAT Paper to sit before the day, which will be returned to you marked and with feedback within 10 working days of the Seminar. As part of the day, you will also sit a practice paper, to time and in examination conditions. This will be marked and returned to you within ten days of the Seminar.

After the BMAT seminar, both your mock test and the test you brought with you will be marked and returned to you with feedback within 10 working days – a great chance for you to see how you’ve improved!
