Oxford and Cambridge Interview Preparation Weekend

• An Interview Skills Workshop: 'Confidence, Clarity, and Curiosity'
• Three small-group, subject-specific tutorials, one focused on approaching unseen sources
• Six individual mock interviews with written feedback, including two panel interviews with two interviewers and two with a PhD-level tutor
• A closing talk and Q&A on next steps

Our interviewers are Oxbridge-graduate tutors and academics, many of whom have interviewed candidates at Oxford and Cambridge themselves.

Yes. Students get verbal feedback during the weekend and written feedback and advice by Tuesday 10 November 2026. Missed interviews cannot be rescheduled, so students should keep to their timetable.

Students need to make their own way to Slough station. Coach transfers between Slough station and the De Vere Beaumont Estate are included. Coaches collect students from Slough station between 10:30 and 11:30 on Friday 30 October and return them there from 17:00 on Sunday 1 November.

Yes. Students stay in a hotel room on site for Friday and Saturday nights. All meals from Friday lunch to Sunday lunch are included. This covers two dinners in the 18th-century chapel, run in the style of an Oxbridge formal hall.

Yes. The hotel's catering team can cater for a range of dietary requirements and allergies, including vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten-free diets. Please give details when booking so arrangements can be made in advance.

• At least three copies of their personal statement, for workshops and interviews
• A suit or formal dress for Friday's formal dinner, and smart-casual clothing for Saturday's dinner
• Clothing and toiletries for two nights
• Any medication they need
• Reading material for independent study between interviews on Sunday

Parents are welcome to join an optional parent welcome at 11:30 on Friday. The rest of the programme is for students only.

Student safety and wellbeing are our priority. Our safeguarding team is a Designated Safeguarding Lead and two Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, and a safeguarding phone line is staffed throughout the event. The weekend is delivered in line with our safeguarding policy.

Our event team supervises students throughout the programme, and a help desk runs in the Hanover Lounge. Students must stay within the venue grounds and be in their own rooms by the 11pm curfew each night. They may not enter any bedroom other than their own.

Yes. Parents or guardians and students must read and agree to the course rules before the event, including a strict no alcohol policy.

Under our safeguarding policy, students cannot leave before 17:00 on Sunday 1 November unless a parent has agreed this with us in advance. Luggage can be stored on Sunday after check-out.

Before the event, call our office on 020 7499 2394. During the event, students should speak to any member of staff. An emergency phone number will also be provided for contact during the event, and reception is open 24 hours a day.

A refund can be requested within two weeks of booking, as long as the request is also made at least two weeks before the event. The final deadline for this event is 10:00am on Friday 16 October 2026.
