Home Mock Admissions Tests

Prepare for your admissions test with our mock papers

Admissions tests now carry more weight than ever in deciding who is invited to interview and who is made an offer. As with any exam, the candidates who perform best are usually those who have practised under realistic conditions, and learned from where they went wrong.

Four full-length papers

Every pack contains four complete papers to sit under exam conditions, so the timing, length, and pressure all feel familiar long before test day.

Fully worked answers

Accompanying answers provide in-depth detail, clearly explaining the reasoning behind the correct option.

Unlimited Practice

You can sit the mock tests as many times as you like and you'll have access to the mock tests until the end of the calendar year when purchased.

What happens next

Step 1

Make a purchase.

Step 2

You should receive an email (within a few minutes) giving you a personalised link to access the mock test course on CANVAS.

Step 3

All instructions for how to access the course will be accessible via the link.

How to use the tests

Once you have purchased your mock test pack, you will receive joining instructions via your email. The joining link should take you to a registration page. Once you have filled in your details, click 'Enrol in course'.

If you want to take the tests via a mobile device, you can download the Canvas app and register on your phone.

Once you log in, you will be taken to a page that looks something like this (see below). You will find your purchased mock tests under 'Courses'. They will appear under both 'Home' and 'Quizzes'. Where available, other past papers for similar tests are provided within the test to support students further.

To start practicing, simply click on the test/section you want to try first and press 'Take the quiz'. Please note that internet access is required to complete the test.

The test format of mock exam papers is designed to replicate the real test. Multiple-choice questions are marked automatically; essay-based answers are not. Once you are done, press 'Submit quiz' to complete your test.

You can track your results via Courses > Grades. As you can take the tests as many times as you want, your results get automatically updated with your most recent score.

Frequently asked questions

No, the tests are not downloadable. They are accessed through our digital platform.

We use Canvas. See examples of what the system looks like:

Standard test timings apply as default. If you require extra time for a test, then send this request through to [email protected] and wait until this is confirmed before attempting the mock papers.

Each paper is written and checked by tutors at Oxbridge Applications to mirror the format, timing, and difficulty of the real exam, based on our experts' annual analysis of the most recent test.

Mocks are licensed for individual use only and remain the property of Oxbridge Applications. Please don't redistribute or duplicate them.

Most candidates begin a few weeks before their test date. It's worth sitting your first paper early, full-length and timed, as a diagnostic - that shows you where you stand. Then spacing the remaining three out so you can track your improvement as the exam approaches.

The exam boards usually release only one or two specimen papers, which serious candidates tend to exhaust quickly. Each of our packs gives you four fresh, full-length papers, written and updated by our experts to match the current format, with worked answers that explain the reasoning rather than just stating the correct option.
