If you’re applying to a top UK university, such as Oxford or Cambridge, the likelihood is that you will be required to complete an admissions test as part of your application. These tests are designed to assess an applicant’s aptitude and potential to succeed on a certain course by testing relevant skill sets; from critical thinking, through data interpretation, to arithmetic.

Oxford and Cambridge usually use the results from these admissions tests, alongside other information such as predicted grades and personal statements, as an additional factor when deciding who to shortlist for interviews.
