PPE: answer like a pro

If you’re applying for Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) or indeed any of these subjects as part of a different course, what questions will you get in an Oxbridge interview?

“Is it moral to hook up a psychopath (whose only pleasure is killing) to a reality-stimulating machine so that he can believe he is in the real world and kill as much as he likes?”

This question was collected in our annual survey as a real question asked in an Oxford PPE interview. It’s a tricky one isn’t it? How would you approach answering, knowing as you will by instinct that ‘yes’ or ‘no’ is definitely a no-go area?
