Personal Statement Workshop 2025

Our Personal Statement Workshop helps students represent themselves in the best way possible through their UCAS Personal Statement, which is sent to UK Universities in support of their application. It's held in-person over the course of one day, and involves an introductory talk by an admissions expert, subject-specific group teaching, and an individual one-on-one session with one of our personal statement tutors.

Students will receive

Targetted Group Teaching

Students will receive 1.5 hours of targeted, subject-specific teaching alongside applicants with similar interests, designed to widen their research horizons and help them better understand the possibilities of the personal statement format.

One-On-One Review Session

Each applicant receives a one-on-one review slot with an expert tutor in their field, giving them bespoke feedback and suggestions for improving their statement.

Focused Writing Time and Feedback

Applicants will have access to a 'writing room', providing a dedicated, focused space in which they may rework their personal statement and seek advice from our admissions experts.

Why Oxbridge Applications?

We are the trusted test support provider to many of the UK’s highest-achieving schools, including Wellington, Marlborough, Charterhouse, Rugby, Cardiff Sixth Form College, and many others.

We only use vetted Oxbridge-graduate tutors who scored in the top 10% of their cohort, and who have an excellent track record of success with applicants.

We curate teaching materials to ensure content is consistently high and students receive comprehensive guidance.

Personal statement guidance is updated yearly to ensure format and quality is current and materials are useful.

Classes are kept small to enable students to have individual attention as well as learn from their peers.

"At Cardiff Sixth Form College, one of the cornerstones of our provision is that we 'demand and deliver excellence'. Our partnership with Oxbridge Applications, is a wonderful example of this, with expert guidance provided for our students and expert training provided for our staff in the pursuit of the highest university ambitions."

Gareth Collier, Principal, Cardiff Sixth Form College
