Cambridge Interview Timeline for December 2026

If you’ve applied to Cambridge University this cycle, you’ll be eager to find out not just whether you’re invited to interview, but also when these interviews are likely to take place! The main Cambridge interview period runs from 7 to 18 December, so you should keep this window completely free.

You will receive an email from Cambridge University during November informing you of whether you have been shortlisted and the specific dates of your interview. Depending on individual college policy and your place of residence, interviews may be conducted either online or in person. November 2026

Applicants will be informed via email during November (with some notifications extending into early December) whether they have been shortlisted for interviews and, if so, at which college they will interview and whether it will take place online or in person.

December 2026

The main Cambridge interview period runs from 7 to 18 December. You should keep this entire window completely free, as Cambridge cannot reschedule interviews except in exceptional circumstances. Depending on the specific college policy and your place of residence, interviews may be conducted either online or in person.

January 2026

Decisions for applicants interviewed in December will be released in late January. If you are placed in the winter pool, you may be asked to attend further interviews mid-to-late January before final decisions are made.
